On December 1st, Miller’s Health Systems, Inc, assumed operations at The Oaks and Oak Pointe in Columbia City following the purchase of the facilities from Whitley Memorial Hospital.  “For the last 46 years, we’ve appreciated the support of the patients and medical community in Whitley County and the surrounding area. As an employee-owned company, we’re pleased to be able to expand the quality services we offer through Miller’s at Oak Pointe,” stated Patrick Boyle, President and CEO of Miller’s Health Systems. As part of the transition, The Oaks and Oak Pointe will be renamed Miller’s at Oak Pointe making it one of thirty-four healthcare and rehabilitation facilities and 12 assisted living communities operated by Miller’s Health Systems, including another Columbia City location on W. Ellsworth. 

Boyle also announced that Summer Becker has been appointed to the position of Administrator. During her tenure with Miller’s Health Systems, Becker has served in various capacities around the State, including her latest assignment as Administrator at Miller’s Merry Manor in Wabash.  While there, she coordinated a major construction project designed to offer expanded rehabilitation services and community availability to the Wabash area. Becker resides in Fort Wayne and is a graduate of Purdue University. Stated Becker, “I am very pleased to be part of the great staff here and appreciate the warm reception that I’ve been given. On behalf of more than 3000 employee-owners around the State, I want to welcome the patients, friends, and employees to the Miller’s family.”
