At Miller’s Merry Manor in Warsaw, construction is nearing completion on a $2 million addition to the healthcare and assisted living building which will provide space for upgraded rehabilitation therapy services, community health, exercise and group meetings, and offices.  Portions of the existing building are receiving a facelift as an additional component of the project.

Visitors to the 7700 square foot addition will immediately notice the convenient access to the new vestibule and expansive reception area.  Just inside the front entrance, patients will find the 1500 sq. ft. state-of-the-art therapy gym featuring a spacious layout with a variety of rehabilitation tools, including a rehab-to-home bedroom and kitchen areas; a multi-level ambulation training area constructed with a combination of potential walking surfaces; as well as other specialized equipment such as the Humac Balance System. The nearby therapeutic swimming pool with a handicap accessible lift can be used as an enjoyable part of a patient’s recuperation process following surgery or illness, or simply for leisurely exercise or recreation. Services at the rehabilitation gym at Miller’s are available for both in-house patients as well as outpatients from the surrounding area.

Members of the Kosciusko County community are invited to join the Living Well Fitness Club, complete with a separate exercise area and a full range of fitness equipment including treadmills, ellipticals, cycles, and weight station.  In addition, members of the Fitness Club will have use of the therapeutic swimming pool and, in the future, can take advantage of periodic fitness classes and demonstrations.  The Living Well Fitness Club also features full men’s and women’s locker rooms.  Be sure to “Like” Miller’s Merry Manor in Warsaw on Facebook and then watch for more information about becoming a member of the Living Well Fitness Club.

The Community Room at Miller’s, offering a kitchenette, serving area, flexible table arrangements and seating space for approximately 50 guests, is sure to be a popular element of the new addition.  The 1200 sq. ft. space will be available to be reserved by nearby groups and individuals for club meetings, family parties and other functions.  Plans are also underway to offer periodic educational presentations in the Community Room at Miller’s, hosted by the facility.

Other enhancements being made as part of the building’s construction project include improvements to private short term rehabilitation suites, patient bathrooms and administrative offices.  “As employee-owners of a company with a 50-yr local history and the best quality ratings in the Warsaw area, these new accommodations will give us even more ways to serve our patients as well as our neighbors,” stated Jason Hill, Executive Director.  “We’ve been working with therapists and physicians to develop a state-of-the-art rehab center and I look forward to the opportunity for patients and visitors to visit and enjoy it at the close of construction.”
